Michele confesses she has been a writer all her life. At 3 years old, she taught herself to read because she had a burning desire to write stories. In high school, she wrote her first novel (which she says isn’t fit for human eyes) and won a national award for a humorous short story called “Appointment with Death.” After graduating with a double major in English Literature and Communications from Wisconsin-Madison, Michele embarked on her journey to write novels and get them published. She soon realized that she had to supplement the pursuit of getting her novel published with writing that actually paid for a roof over her head, particularly important during those frosty winters in Madison, Wisconsin. As a result Michele found herself writing promotional copy for a wide variety of organizations. After several years working with marketing/communications departments of major corporations and ad agencies, honing her copywriting skills and knowledge of marketing and branding, Michele and her husband relocated to Prescott, Arizona, where she launched her own copywriting agency in 1998. Specializing in direct response copywriting, Michele developed sales copy that ensured clients secured the responses they were seeking with their target audience. Today Michele is a highly sought after writer, speaker and marketing strategist. And the novels? Well, Michele has completed two novels and a popular eBook called “Got Ideas? Unleash Your Creativity and Make More Money.” She currently resides in the beautiful mountains of Prescott, Arizona with her husband and three border collies, Nick, Maddie and Roxie. |
